Katharine’s work is proving a popular ‘Pick of the Month’ in Swindon!

Items by Katharine Pleydell-Bouverie are currently on show at the Swindon Museum & Art Gallery. A number of the ceramics pieces have been acquired for SMAG as part of the Creative Wiltshire project, and are proving a hit with visitors.

Katharine was brought up at Coleshill House near Swindon, later moving to Kilmington Manor near Warminster. She was one of the founder members of the Craftsman Potters Association and was also instrumental in setting up the Crafts Study Centre at Holbourne Museum, Bath. Her glazes are very well documented and have been a source of inspiration and study for many potters ever since.
