We are lucky to have a number of photographers in our county who have the skill and expertise to make the most of our wonderful landscape. Jake Eastham is one such photographer and we have recently acquired a set of six photographs which aim to cover the range and scope of his work.
Jake, who lives near Salisbury, previously worked in farming, tree care and conservation before moving into the field of photography. His clientele now range from Barbour and Mulberry to Country Life, Highgrove and Ralf Lauren. The images we have acquired capture some of his early work and date c. 2005, helping to chart the development of his style and expertise. His approach has been to “capture the elements, details and textures of country life with a natural and honest aesthetic.”

We are extremely pleased to provide a home for Jake’s work in the Local Studies’ Historic Photograph and Print Collection at the Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre as part of the Creative Wiltshire project. Having lived and worked in the county’s landscape for many years, Jake’s affinity with and appreciation of the subject matter is outstanding, and a pleasure to view.
